First Strawberries for Season about to be picked

We are just about to pick our first strawberries for the 2010 season.

This year is different from last year, which was early. The colder wetter weather means things have been slower to start.

You should see the first of our berries hitting New Worlds and Pack’n'Saves in the upper North Island on Friday.

I purchased a punnet of strawberries from NW yesterday (16/11/10) and they were absolutely out of this world!!! Huge, sweet and very, very strawberry. I hope the crops keep coming in because they were to die for.
